The Rock Series aluminum tripods from Carson are available in 5 unique models. All models of the The Rock Series tripods feature a 3-way fluid panhead for smooth 360 degree movement, non-slip rubber feet for harsh terrain, built-in bubble levels, quick release shoes and a carrying case for easy portability. The TR-100 tabletop model extends to a maximum height of 20.8 inches and contains 3-section aluminum legs with quick-release locks. The TR-100 model is the most compact model of the group and is great for travel. The TR-200, TR-300 and TR-400 models all contain 4-section aluminum legs with quick-release locks, geared elevators and an accessory hook. The TR-200 model extends to a maximum height of 57.6 inches. The TR-300 model extends to a maximum height of 59.6 inches and the TR-400 model extends to a maximum height of 65.1 inches. The MonoPod version (TR-500) provides a similar level of stability compared to the other models but is also quicker and more practical to set-up since it features only 1 leg compared to their 3-legged brethren. The TR-500 is also the most lightweight version of the group. While the 3-legged versions provide more support and stability, the Monopod model is perfect when you need to be able to move quickly, like in sports photography. The TR-500 Monopod extends to a maximum height of 57.4 inches and features 4-section aluminum legs with quick-release locks. The TR-500 MonoPod version also features a padded grip and wrist strap.
